Is strength & conditioning for juniors really necessary?

While the grey matter of the brain is developing as a child, neuroplasticity is higher. Therefore, movement literacy is learned more effectively.

The younger you learn to move efficiently, the more it becomes ingrained. The longer you leave it, the more you will develop bad habits and it becomes harder to relearn movement.

The BC team have run clubs and lessons at our school for a few years now.

The staff are well presented, professional, prompt and reliable. They run well organised sessions for all ages (4 to 11 year olds in our school). Ian will tailor make sessions to meet your requirements/age and ability of cohort, using age appropriate delivery and sports science.

Particularly with secondary school students, we teach them why they’re doing what they are doing, and we encourage our students to be inquisitive. Knowledge is power! So up-skilling athletes in the how and why allows them to be critical of all of their training.

Our athletes responded well to the coaching and innovation provided by Ian from Bespoke Conditioning. In particular the periodisation and individualisation of an athlete’s programme was most welcome.
